Mother
God took the sunlight from the skies,
and made the sparkle in your eyes.
He took the songs of morning birds,
and made the sound of your sweet words.
The deepest ocean did play a part,
in measuring the love that's in your heart.
With morning dew, He made the tears,
That softened my heart throughout the years.
The Grand Canyon was used to fashion each arm,
to reach far and wide to protect me from harm.
He used the earth's best, but He still wasn't through,
He took His great wisdom and gave it to you.
he then broke the mold so there'd be no other,
To take the place of my dear mother.
I love you mom!
Mother
II
Woman, I call thee Mother; for the purest definition of the title
abides within thee. Certainly all females have been blessed with the ability to bring forth life; nevertheless,
thou hast painstakingly acquired the term Mother. Of a truth, God has fearfully and carefully formed thee to
perfection.
Surely thy mold was cast asunder, for all others pale in comparison
to thy glory. With the skill of a surgeon, time has etched the fine lines that proclaim lasting beauty to thy face.
The flecks silvery hair bare witness that wisdom has a perpetual residency in thee. With eyes of piercing light my
soul has become transparent in thy presence.
Thy brow has been forged in steadfast determination. Chastisement
is swift and exact. Though correction is but for a moment, its affect instills permanent gratitude. Surely thy
heart has taken love captive, for each word that escapes thy lips permeates the very essence of my being;
causing my spirit to overflow with joy. I shudder in thought of thy departure.
Woman...thy name is Mother
Mother
Mother Glorious, giver of life. It is with great joy and heart
felt adoration that I express my reverence towards you. For no other sentiment could rightly depict your effect
on my life. Many women have clothe, nourished and provided the necessary components for their offspring's
upbringing, but you have labored well beyond that point, reaching into the very soul of me and imparting your
sacred essence into my being.
It is through your example that I hold fast to belief in God.
For you undying commitment to motherhood displays His divine attributes. Your watchful eye bares witness to His
all seeing gaze. Your warm embrace is reminiscent to His un-breach able protection. Your smile shows of His
glorious light, and your care for me highlights His loving kindness. No other title is sacred enough to make
known the high esteem I have for you than Mother.
You have been given an awesome responsibility of bringing forth
the next generation of leaders into the world. And I marvel at the ease in which you complete that task. You
have paved a wonderful path few women could ever duplicate, and for that, you rightly belong in the assembly of
the honored.
All of mankind's positions have their limitations well defined,
but, thankfully, I have yet to experience a time when I presented a petition to you and you were at a loss
to advise. If nothing more than calming me with, "God has it all in His able hands." I anxiously await the
moment to impart that lively seed of wisdom that you have placed in me into the next recipient on our
lineage that has been entrusted to my care. Mother...As you have blessed, be blessed.
