I dare not assume the following words could properly mirror the love and devotion I have towards you. Friends have their place, but you have established yourself as a faithful anchor for me during life's uncertainties. At my deepest point of need, everything else lost its value to you and you patiently gave your time to me in immeasurable volumes until I was stable again.

When my adversaries plotted against me, surely you thought their wrath was directed at you because you took up my cause and withstood them as in impenetrable barrier. When others praised me, no doubt you must have heard your name because you were quick to cheer and celebrate in my achievements, however, any awards or words of encouragement have little worth to me until I receive your nod of approval, for your insight is unmatched.

Whenever someone say, "You are just like your sister," I hear, "You are a person of excellence," and I smile inside, for there could be no better example to follow than yours.

So I honor you always, dear sister because you have blessed me at all times; no special occasion was needed in order for you to express yourself as the great sister you are. Your wonderful character just shone through, and for that, I am full of gratitude. The mark you have made on my life can never be erased, for it was engraved on my heart with an iron pen with the point of a diamond.

Thank you for being who you are... Live well, dear sister. ©2006 Tim Taylor
